2nd May 2008 was my 1st Day in YTL. I went there early as usual to avoid traffic jam, and found my parking lot which cost me RM4 perday. After get down from my car, i walk towards to YTL company and it take less than 5 min to reach YTL from the parking area.
1st step at YTL after getting the offer letter, i was stop by the security guard. ops !! what happen? Do i look like terrorist to him? haha of cause not, is just i do not have the staff id and required me to give him my driving license. After getting the pass i went to my dept but too bad, do not have the access card for me get into it.
I'm waiting at the 2nd floor which is the receptionist floor until 9am. After I went to my dept then only get to know my Manager , Assist. Manager , senior went to some event and leave not much people in the IT dept. Well, just get to know some of them in the dept. Great !! no need intro to the whole company and just intro within my dept.
My pc is NEW with the spec of Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 , 2GB ram. Well i think this PC can serve me well during my development. Thank god that my PC spec are not the bad, else going to cry (of cos not)...... So i just setup the necessary software to my Computer and i notice that my connection run at 1.5Mbps. To download a Visual Studio 2008 Express edition just take me about an hours.
Before lunch time, my manager and some of the colleague are back from the event. I went to see my manager and informed that i might start using VS2008 to develop the new project, this is a great news to me !!! Finally, i can start something new :)
Lunch time at 1pm, me and my colleague went to lowyat plaza food court to have our lunch, more or less around 10 ppl. YTL plaza surrounding by many food stall, as you know bukit bintang area is the golden triangle area.
After lunch, we went back to office and chit chat awhile then everybody start working again. 5pm ++ i cabut and back to my home before 6pm :)
p/s: Is unexpected fast to get my ID + Access card :)
